Les Bleues won Group D with a perfect, three wins from three record, topping the table ahead of the defending champions England.
Laurent Bonadei’s side beat the Lionesses 2-1 in a close encounter in Zurich in their opening game, and have then thrashed Wales and the Netherlands to book their place in the last eight.
Christian Wuck’s Germany, meanwhile, started the campaign well with a 2-0 victory over Poland, before a narrow 2-1 win over Denmark. They were thrashed by Sweden, however, and will be looking to right that wrong and reach the semi-finals when they face France at St Jakob Park in Basel.
